OS: xp service pack 3


1.0 ,2.0,5.5,11.0,to 18.0 mbps

my laptop runs at 54.0 mega bits per second, just a few days ago it dropped to one i adjusted the router and now it varies between the title, i got right next to the router in my grandmas room and it said 54.0 mega bits per second, when i backed up into to my room the signal dropped a lot its not very far nothings in the way of it,i turned off the modem then the router i turned the modem on first then the the router, i cant get any signal for my ps3 i doesn't reach to my ps3 i am at 18.0 mega bits per second at the moment.

It is the wireless in the router that appears to be the issue. Reset to factory defaults after writing down the wan settings then reconfigure. See if there is a firmware update for the unit. Otherwise plan on replacing it.
