Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
I have used firefox since it was called Firebird. As you may know from this I love this browser.
Now:
1. I updated to 7 recently and thought nothing of it.
2. I can now no longer OPEN more than one tab at a time without partial loss of page loading in the proceeding tab and etc etc. It simply stops loading tabs. Eventually, and SOMETIMES not at all, it loads the tabs. Sometimes even the first won't load.
3. Chrome opens everything instantly and without question.
4.1 I removed all my plugins and retried. I tried firefox safe mode. Same result.
4.2 I USED REVO UNINSTALLER and FIREFOX'S uninstaller to remove it today.
4.3 I reinstalled a clean copy of 7 and the addons (all compatible)
5. Browser is still not loading anything. I am using chrome to type this.
Any ideas?

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
That's very odd. I'm using firefox verson 7.0.1 currently, and everything's running flawlessly.
I would suggest uninstalling firefox and running ccleaner to clean out your registry. Or maybe look here and download an older version of firefox to see if it works. If it still doesn't, then it's not the update, most likely a software issue with your particular computer. If it does work, however, try updating it to 7.0.1 using firefox update. It should work then.
Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
My firefox is now working half the time but fails to load some sites. I reinstalled and cleaned it out using Revouninstaller again. 3.6 ran fine. 7.0.1 still has these issues.

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
I'm guessing the problem is some software on your computer, interfering with the newest firefox version. Some software that I don't have, since my version works fine. Have any idea what it could be?

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
Not a single idea. It could be anything at this rate. What are you NOT running in terms of popular programs?>

We have fairly similar lists to be honest.

Tried running sans add-ons? Even if they say they are all compatible, it's worth a shot.
Also - what's your networking/firewall situation?

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
I just had the same problem after IE Tab 2 (3.10.7.2) was installed automatically. I tried disabling IE Tab 2 and then tabs worked again. Then I enabled IE Tab 2 and tabs still work.

Not running IETAB.
Without addons does the same thing?
I thought it was Tab mix plus but...

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
I am connected directly to a Linksys gigabit hub connected to the modem.

Re: Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
How much RAM do you have and how much is FF using? I have noticed Firefox 7 sometimes 'unloading' tabs that haven't been active in a while to reduce memory footprint.

Firefox 7 update causes loss of multiple tab connectivity
FOR EVERYONE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE!!!
CHANGE Network.http.max-connections - MozillaZine Knowledge Base TO 30 OR UNDER based on your internet connection.
Since firefox 6 this went up to 256...however changing it down to 30 for me seems to have solved the issue. I think I will NOW go up from 30 to 256 UNTIL I HIT THE CUTOFF where it begins having the same issue.
Anyone wish to confirm or reject this solution?

4GB @ 800. It does this upon first boot, so me opening 5 tabs causes all to either stop or not load at random.
Issue solved so far, testing.

I am sorry, I can't reproduce this behaviour anymore.
