Anyone know for sure in which version the 'built-in Google search box' first appeared? Also, is it true some versions of Opera automatically install Google Toolbar?

Hi, the search field in the address bar first came in Opera 5.0, considering Opera is now on version 11.01, this was quite a substantial time ago.

Opera will not automatically install Google Toolbar, the search bar is completely customizable and you are able to completely remove Google search, or any other of the built in searches.
