How do I delete "Bing" web browser from my computer?

I am using Windows Vista Home Basic on my laptop. I use Google or Yahoo for my search engines. Unfortunately, it appears that "Bing" pops up on a regular basis, and I find it intrusive.
Is there anyway I can permanently delete it off my computer?
I have used "Tools", and "Manage Search Providers", and included Google and Yahoo as my only search engines, with Google the default.
Even so "Bing" still pops up !!! I want to delete it completely so that it won't pop up anymore.
Any help, in plain no jargon language would be most helpful?

Google and Yahoo are search engines. The web browser is the program that you use to view web pages. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.

Then you should be looking in the Windows forum for help, as IE is part of the OS.
