Question

Google Chrome shows a login to a certain dating site every day that my home PC was logged in to my account. I did not access the site on most of those days. Why is this incorrect history appearing?

A tech on Spiceworks suggested that I install the Better History plugin. I did so, and the false entries disappear, but they are back when I uninstall the plugin.

These history listings are not real!!!!!! Why are they showing up?

Hi,

I need to know a little more information I need to know what version of chrome you are using. Easiest way to find it is type chrome://version in the omnibox.

When was the last time that you updated your version of chrome? Are you sure that all your plugins are up to date and couldn't be causing a problem with your history?

Thank you for that information. One thing I see if that you are not up to date with chrome, when you have time please update chrome.

Next have a look at this thread from the chrome support it gives a couple things to try. Please let me know how you got on or if you are still having these problems.

I just tried "Reset Settings" per the quoted forum response. However, there is no change. I have reached out to the makers of the Better History plugin, since installing their plugin shows what I know to be true. However, they have not responded.
