Norton blocks my program

Nortan says my program is a virus and I know it's not. It tells me SONAR has removed it. Even though I've disabled auto detect and its firewall.

Re: Norton blocks my program

Hi,

We need more details about your problem.
  • What program is being blocked/detected as a virus ?
  • What version of Norton are you running ?
  • Do you have a paid for subscription to Norton ?
  • Are the security definitions up to date ?
  • Do you have the Norton disc so that you could reinstall ?
  • What operating system are you running, Windows 7, Vista, XP ?

Re: Norton blocks my program

Personally, I would cut to the chase, get rid of the resource hogging Norton and install some much more lightweight free security software.

If you would prefer to keep Norton, obviously that is your choice and we can try to find a solution to the initial problem. May not be easy though.

Let me know how you wish to proceed.

Re: Norton blocks my program

So it is ! Well spotted Gary.

No wonder Norton doesn't like it.

@ iSilver, At this point, I'm afraid I would have to withdraw my offer of support for fear of being in contravention of forum rules.

What happens now is up to the moderators.
