Hey, I've had a HP Photosmart C4580 All-in-One Printer since February 13, 2009, my birthday, and ever since then, there is always this kind of cartridge animation showing you how to install the cartridges. My dad installed the cartridges but this animation never goes away. I'm trying to set my printer up for wireless connectivity but can't because of this animation. How do I get rid of it? Please reply! Thanks!

I would say one or both the cartridges may not be properly seated. Remover both cartridges, check that the seal tape has been removed ( a common error ) and re-insert both cartridges acording to the " quick start " directions. Be sure both cartridges are properly seated.. This should resolve your animation.
THANKS! This was exactly my problem. The more I watched the "How Do I?" animations that came with the software of the printer, they showed the character unboxing his ink and removing the tape. Now this was my first time installing ink properly into a printer. Both of the cartridges were in there when my dad set it up a month ago, but ever since then, I noticed that the animation would not go away and Color Ink was not in the Ready status on the HP Solution Center because my dad only took the tape off the black one and not the color one when he set up my printer. I don't know why but it's something stupid to like forget to do. Now since yesterday, I know how to work printers now! Thanks Phalcon!!! Thanks a lot for your help even though I found out the problem before you posted, but I still appreciate it!

You're quite welcome. Glad to see you're printer is working properly now.
