Last night I put my laptop on hibernate as usual. This morning when I tried to turn it on, the power button light came on, the DVD drive made a couple of noises and then nothing. I tried restarting, same thing. I tried hard shut down, then starting with battery and AC, then just AC, then just battery. Same thing.

When it's plugged in, the adapter light and batter light come on. When not plugged in, just the battery light comes on. No other lights work. Monitor doesn't come on. No fan or other noises.

I think that pretty much covers the details. Any other advice (besides get a new computer)? Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I made my way through the recommendations and still nothing. I guess it's time to look for a new computer. This one was only three years old - any advice on more reliable brands?

Every laptop brand has goods and bads. I enjoy dells but that is only because I work somewhere that gets good deals on them. It is all preference. I used to like hp's but only because I got a good deal. Get a laptop that you like. Make sure it has 2 gb of ram and all the features that you want. Then take care of it.
