Toshiba Laptop flickering

Recently, My Toshiba laptop has started flickering. My computer is also telling me to consider replacing my battery. Could this be causing my problem?

Hi and welcome to TSF I would certainly replace the battery if it is telling you that it needs it,does it flicker when just on the ac adapter

Thank you for the welcome. No, I removed the AC adapter and it continues to flicker.

No I meant if you remove the battery and run it just on ac power

Hi one other thing to try is to hook it up to a external monitor and see if it replicates the issue
