Hello, I’m new to this site and I'm looking for some help! I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-04N part number - PSLB8C-04N01X.

This laptop is just passed warranty and I recently turned it on and the screen is blank! I can hear the CPU fan, hard drive and DVD rom start when I hit the power button, but there is nothing on the screen?

I've tried plugging in an external monitor hitting the FUNC F5 keys, changing the hard drive and I've taking a look at the mother board for loose wires and it looks fine? Has anyone see this before? Is there something else I could try?

I have also tried taking the battery out, holding the power button down for 25 sec's and plugging the laptop in with no battery.

Any suggestions would be great!

Hi can you reach the bios try tapping F2 on boot

Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.

I tried that....nothing.... completly blank. I've taken it completly apart and everything looks fine, no loose or broken cables....Has anyone replaced the screen on one of these? Is it common? how can I test it before replacing it?
Anymore help would be great!

My System

Does the power light stay on? or does it go off, blink, or change colors?

most L300's will have two memory sticks, take one out and power it on, if nothing, take it out and put the other one in. basically you want to try it with both sticks in both slots alone. and watch the power light every time you do also.
