Water spilled on laptop, Wont power up

water spilled on my laptop i quickly removed the water with the cloth bt some got into the keyboard i guess and even between the touchpad keys.

the laptop was on ac adapter , the wire got disturbed when i was cleaning it and it turned off . i know it was stupid but i turned it on as i thought the water wouldn't have got into the system
but then the processing speed died out .. firefox hanged , torrent didn't work. so i decided to restart the system , it turned off properly but didn't power , i tried to power it again and again but it didn't work .. the power light would come up but not the HDD light.

I didn't hear any sparking or any kind of noise nor any smoke came out .

I have turned it off and unplugged it from the ac adapter , kept it upside down and blow dried the keypad and touchpad from a distance of atleast 6-7 inches.

What can be the problem ? the motherboard crashed or just a shortcircuit that wil be okay on its own? will it work or i will have to get it repaired? for how many days should i not turn it on ?
Help me and advice me what should i do ?

I would leave it completely dry for a minimum of 48 hours and hope that no damage was done while it was powered on.

Be sure to remove the battery as well.
