Hi,

It's my cousin's laptop, it's a Sony PCG-6H4L and all I want from it is the hard drive, to get the data out of it.

I am not interested to make this laptop back to work but it just doesn't get opened I have unscrewed every screw that is visible.

Thanks.

Look in the laptop's user manual. Hard drives are user-replaceable, so the procedure must be well-documented in the user manual. If you don't have the user manual, go to the manufacturer's website and see if they have an online version of it.

Hi,
Thanks, I did some more persistence and finally I could open it. The key was to take out the keyboard layout, there were some screws under it that had to be opened.
Thanks again.
