I've been playing games on my laptop and in order to put the graphics up it tells me that I need to install drivers. I've looked online and watched videos.
They told me to uninstall driver, restart, download and install the driver and restart again
when I go to uninstall it asks: "Warning: you are about to uninstall this device from your system.
Delete the driver software from this device? *then there is a checkbox.*

I don't know whether to tick the box or not. I went onto Nvidia's website and found the correct driver. The website told me nothing out uninstalling previous versions so I downloaded the new version but never clicked install/open folder.
If someone could please help and give a detailed instruction on what to do as I also read that once downloaded you had to work in safe mode? I really no clue.
Help a gal out?

Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 260M

Hi and welcome to TSF just install thats it, if you have a issue it may be your antivirus so you could disable it before the install and stay off the net untill you enable it again

Thanks!
So that's it. Just double click the file in my downloads (I'm using Firefox) and install? No need to uninstall previous versions?
Thanks, you've been a great help.

Hi again. I tried installing it but it didn't work. Double clicked the download and it asked where I wanted to install the driver. This adress was preset:
C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\266.58\Vista 64-bit\International
I clicked ok and it said "Non 7-zip archive"
I don't know where the previous drivers are installed or where to go from here.

No it wasn't.
Don't worry now. I managed to do it. I had to run the file as administrator. I don't know why it said anything about 7-zip.
Thank you very much though!
You can close this topic now the problem has been resolved.
