Acer Netbook D260 running win7 x64
How can I tell if it has bluetooth capability. It has a bluetooth software suite, but how do I identify hardware?
TIA

Re: Bluetooth Capability
I tried that. It tells me I do not have bluetooth, It is for Visa and I have Win 7 but the menus look the same.
ACER Tech support says I do have bluetooth, but they are awfully slow in telling me how to prove it.

Try checking in the BIOS there is a possibility that there is a setting turned off. If It's turned off in the BIOS, windows generally won't be able to detect it.
Hope this helps.

When you first start the pc, when all the hardware is being detected, it should say how to enter setup mode, unless fast boot is enabled, then it may not, in that case you'll have to guess, during the POST, you have to hit a certain key to enter the BIOS, its normally the delete key, but other common keys are, F1-F4. Anyone of these keys could work, try the delete one first though.

Re: Bluetooth Capability
Thanks I learned that the computer has a keyboard switch. Same keys strokes cycle thru,
Wi Fi
3G
Wi Fi +3G
I think they are trying to tell me that 3G is bluetooth, because it works.
The little indicator light is supposed to change color for differetn settings but it does not. Anyway I got that part working.
