I noticed my Toshiba M70 still stays on after lid is closed, i can see the lcd light coming through. It never did that before, once i closed the lid it should go into standby mode. So yesterday i installed windows 7, same thing happenes. I checked setting in power settings, it's set to go to sleep when lid closed. What else can i check? I read something about lid switch, i didn't see any.
