IBM Thinkpad T23 won't power up

First post. Great forum with lots of info. I searched and didn't find what I needed, so here's my question:

I have an IBM Thinkpad. Was running Ubuntu. Worked fine the last time I used it.
End of the night I power it down and close the lid. fast forward to the am. Open the lid press power. Nothing happens.
No power LED.
Swapped the power supply to another laptop I have and it powered up without issue.
DC in jack looks intact.(no one tripped on the power cord and broke it)
Tried another power supply with no success.

Anyone have any ideas?

Perform the following steps:
-Remove the battery and Power adapter
-Press and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds (with battery and power still removed)
-Insert just the battery and attempt to boot the laptop.
-Insert just the power adapter and attempt to boot the laptop.
