Hi and Welcome to TSF!

Does the laptop boot up then turn right off?

Have you tried using an external monitor to see if you get video?

Try removing the battery and power cable then press the power button for 45 seconds.

Plug the battery back into the PC along with the charger to see if it will boot.

Do you hear any fans start up?

If no you may have a dead motherboard. That is common for HP laptops.

Do you hear a Windows startup sound if you leave the computer for a few minutes?

If you had to say that the PC boots up than after a few seconds it shuts off would that be correct?

Sounds like a dead HP motherboard.

It is very common on all HP PCs.

Yes due to the GPU is apart of the motherboard.

Also another telling sign is the PC turns off after being on.

How old is the laptop?

If it is under one year it will be in warranty. HP can fix it for free.

Hi first have a look at this Black Screen Issues and Troubleshooting
try the steps and get back to us I will say I tend to agree with MC and your laptop could well have a failed graphics chip or the solder has become degraded the fact you get no out put to a external monitor often points to that
