hello Gateway86 and welcome to TSF,

Does your right click button seem different than the left click button? (i.e. depressed further, loose, etc)

Is your notebook still under warranty?

It seems as though there is a fault with the button itself... Not the plastic piece you hit, but the contacts underneath it.

Have you ever removed a palmrest from a laptop before?

That remains to be seen. The palmrest would have to be removed to allow access to the backside of the trackpad. I am looking for a service manual for your laptop now.

@ Double posting... No problem. You should be able to edit your post for up to 15 minutes after you initially post it.

It could be a loose connection, a bad connection at the button or the button can be sticking. Let me look at the manual and see the layout before I suggest the next step.

Well, I can't find a service manual for your notebook for reference. We may have to do this on the fly...

If you want to continue, here is a small list of things you may need...

#1 and #2 Phillips Screwdriver
Small Standard (flat-head) screwdriver.
Container for screws (Pill-Boxes work nicely)
A clean, uncluttered work area.
A magnet would be a plus (help find those odd flying screws)

In order to check the connection and the condition of the button you will need to remove the palmrest.

In order to remove the palm rest (the entire keyboard area of the computer) you will need to remove;

All removable components. (battery, etc)
The Button panel (above the keyboard)
The Display Assembly
The Keyboard

I would like to drop you some instructions right now, but all notebooks are not built the same... I want to make sure I give you accurate directions, so I am trying to locate some information to help us out.

Thanks joeten! I couldn't find a manual anywhere!

It seems as though your right click button is sticking (even though it doesn't feel like it.)

You will need to remove the palmrest. The track pad is connected to it.

Depending on the design, the buttons may be a part of the pad assembly or may be on the motherboard.
