I've had my Gateway M-6580FX laptop for almost 2 years (figures the problems arise after my warranty ends) and suddenly the power saver mode for the display won't work. I can sit here for hours on end and the display just won't turn off.
I honestly don't remember if I tweaked with settings, but I checked my power management settings= fine; display settings= fine; everything is set up for it to enter power saver mode after a minute.
(I think I may have told a process to not run from startup in the Task Manager, . But now I'm unsure of which one it could be.)
If anyone knows what to do, or if I missed the thread with the solution (sorry, I looked) please direct me.
