Dell laptop speaker gives crackling sound

my laptop which is a dell inspiron n4050 (which is hardly 5 months old) has started giving crackling voice from the speakers. when i use headphones the voice doesn't come. but the speakers gives this strange crackling/scratchy voice. am very upset as i use my laptop usually for music, watching movies and stuff. and without proper sound...i don't what ll i do?
plz help if you can..

Hello Sarah.z and welcome to TSF,

Your computer is well under a year old which is well within Dell Warranty.

Unfortunately your problem seems hardware related and I would not want you to do anything that voids your warranty.

My suggestion to you is to contact Dell Customer Support.

I'd second GZ. Sounds like hardware issue. Contact Dell to avoid voiding your warranty.

distorted and crackling sound on Laptop
the sound from my laptop was clearly not sounding normal with distorted and crackling sound when i turned it off after a few days i turned on the Laptop and it was back to normal but is there away to up date your audio / sounds devices I have windows as my default sound .
