I have just rebuilt my Samsung laptop, but now the battey will only charge to 60% (on the power meter). I've left it on charge over night, but it's still the same. It was fine before the rebuild.
If the battery is over 1 year old then its probably just getting old. At work we only provide a years warranty on the batteries for Toshiba M200, M400, M700, L10, A6, U400
Power it on with the battery only and let it totally discharge. Once it dies, start it up again and just let it die. Just trying to totally empty the battery. Once its totally dead, plug it in and recharge it. Also if there is a calibrate function on that model laptop try that. Don't know much about the Toshiba's or samsungs. Also is there a battery test in the bios?
But like the poster above said, if its older it could just be going bad.
