i cant keep this thing on for 15 min without it blue screening.

its always a 0x00000005 or 0x0000007e error. the 5 one lists files like *.dll's a lot of the time its ati3duag.dll and i called ati's support and they say that the driver is working fine with no problem.

so how in the world do i a) fix it or b) find out whats messing with windows?!

tap f8 when booting and you will find it on the options screen
it stops windows from installing it's version before you have a chance to install the one you want
there should only be one version of the driver on the computer,to check if they are installed correctly, try a driver rollback
it should come up with there is no driver to roll back to,when there is more than one version installed it can cause a conflict and bsod appear

okay that didnt work and now my games are crashing. how can i pinpoint the problem? is this a driver error or a hardware error?

and btw my computer sometimes freezes on boot and i have to keep restarting it until it goes past the mobo title screen

update...
just bsod'ed with an irq not less or equal error.

No you cannot. and i just recently installed a copy of 32 bit windows xp and got different drivers cause of it and i still blue screen and crash. is there any way i can pin point this problem since its most likely hardware?

okay i got a win32.sys blue screen, and i just now got a "irq not less or equal 0x00000000A(0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x805219c4)"

i'm going to run that hd diagnostic tonight but
memtest was clear
and i have an
connect 3d ati x1800 gto
asus mr32-mvp mobo
2gb 2 dimms patriot ram
amd x2 3800+ windsor

This is never good. Give us the brand and model that are on the side sticker as soon as possible.

You could also install and run everest and report here with the temperatures, voltages and fan speeds (under sensor in everest report).

Seemingly random crashes with different error messages are often caused by either faulty RAM, bad PSU or heat. A failing hard drive is less common but can happen too.

i tried memtest and it came up perfectly clear.
just crashed as soon as i read the posts lol.

i dont want to buy more stuff like a psu or something if its a malfunctioned part. is there any way i can decifer if its hardware or software(driver maybe)?

Borrow a good 550W+ PSU from a friend and try it in your computer. If you have no errors with that PSU, you'll know you have to buy a new one. Good brands are Seasonic, Enermax, Antec, ... If it costs less than 80$ on newegg usually it's not good.

Install and run everest as I asked you so we can check your temperatures.

btw i have two driver errors. one is a usb controller and the other is an unknown device. they wont go away no matter what driver i install

how could a psu cause a blue screen like irq errors and page faults though?

i bought a store bought version from a company online (x64) and then got a student copy of x32 from my professor.
and no vga mode didnt work cause i blue screen in normal windows. so far though i have not seen anything saying ati3duag.dll in x32. all of them have either been "irq not less or equal", the one win32.sys that popped up, or something with codes i have not seen before.
