I have 10 users on XP connecting to a 2003 server. One machine hangs for about 3-4 minutes at the "applying computer settings". In the servers active directory I compared the user and computer properties with the other pcs couldn't find anythind!!
You should post this in the Networking Support Section here
One of the few things I know about a PC taking long to log in to a domain is that it is usually a DNS problem.
So if it has not been done already make sure your Primary DNS on the PC is set to your Server 2003's IP address (ie Primary Domain Server's IP Address).
If you login to the PC and not the domain does it also take long?
