XP seems to looses onboard network card during game play or web browsing

I am yet to determine if it is due to a problem with my IE7 that causes it or not as it happens during the time i am playing world of warcraft. everything freezes i get disconnected. i go to my connections and see my pppoe connected but it is not connected. when i try connect it then connects but i get no network traffic. this seems to happen after something is closed but i get no message. i get no errors in my event viewer either. its like the pc looses the network adaptors for no aparent reason and still says it ic connected and only way i can find a way to solve it is to restart.

Have you got the latest service pack installed? if not, install it.
(For Windows XP the latest and final service pack is SP3)

Then download & install the latest wireless adapter driver from your PC/Laptop manufacturer's website. It will probably be listed in the 'network' category on your PC model's driver download page.
