Hi:

I'm doing installing Windows XP home to essentially reformat.

I got to a place where I'm being asked to choose from...

Partition 1 (Fat) 31MB

C Partition 2 NTFS 72575 MB

E Partions 3 Fat32 3679 MB

Or add a new partition to C.

You would install XP on the C partition, which will wipe out everything on C. It would be a good idea to format the C partition first.

Hi Fred,
You guided me to use C for the partition.
Should I delete the Fat and Fat 32 partitions first?
Stopmakingsense, no. I would leave the other 2 partitions alone. It sounds like a Dell with an additional utility partition. Any other questions, feel free to post them in the thread, we can't offer assistance via PM.
