User registry problem

We tried to correct a problem - Access 2003 would not start on two workstations. We found a "fix" on Mircosoft support that suggested exporting a registry key from a computer where Access was working. The fix corrected the problem with Access but we may have accidentally over corrected the problem. The users are unable to log with their old user name and passwords. Is it possible to undo what we did??
