Hello All,
Here's the situation I'm in. I've got a HDD (Hard Drive disk) with WinXP on it and lots of files and emails that I need. I wanted to make that HDD a backup drive so I bought a USB adapter and a caddy. I plugged it in my main computer but it didn't show up as a new drive, so I went to "Disk Management" to enable the HDD and assign it a drive letter. After I did that and I set the drive to "Active" I get:
"Disk is not formatted"
"The disk in drive D is not formatted"
"Do you want to format it now?"
I've tried to plug it in other computers and it does the same thing. I tried making it the primary partition and I got "No operating system found"
I don't know if I enabled something or the drive syddenly got corrupted. I really need access to the files on the Hard Drive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
