System Idle Process

Hi there,

My computer's start-up is pretty quick and no problems there. But right after, the computer sarts working, the fans power up and the whole computer seems to be processing something. When I check "Windows Task Manager" the process "System Idle Process" is using about 100% of CPU. This lasts like 5 mins and I can't do anything to stop the process. (if it helps, there is no signs of internet usage during this period). As far as I found out, it's not related to how the computer was shut down. Even after a safe shutdown, this process keeps my laptop busy for at least 5 mins. I'd appreciate it if you could help me. Ask me if u need more info. Thank you.

It is Normal for the system idle process to be at 100% What is keeping your computer busy is something else and if the system ilde process is at 100% it more than likely is not a system process that is holding things up. It might be something that is still loading up or an infection of some sort.

You can download process explorer from sysinternals and run it and post a screen shot here:
