Hi, I am new to this forum and am not very computer savvy. My cpu is often running at 100% and it seems to be due to: syssvcnt.exe. I have read a previous thread on this forum relating to this but did not understand the answer! I am using windows xp.
Hi and welcome to TSF.
Basically, syssvcnt.exe is part of a security suite installed by your ISP. Please let me know what antivirus and firewall programs you are running.
Press Start>Search and enter the file name in the search box. Go to the locations indicated then delete the file either by right-clicking and selecting delete or by highlighting the filename and selecting File on the menu bar and then delete. If you have any problems deleting the file let me know and I'll show you some programs that should do it.
In that case, it's possible that the original file had become corrupt. Try reinstalling Big Pond and see if this improves matters. BTW, was that the only version of syssvcnt.exe on your machine?
