Okay recently my friends computer was having problem with sound. The system didn't beep which means there are sound drivers installed. Nothing is on mute everything is up full ways. So last week I started by installing new sound drivers, nothing. Then I rolled back the drivers and the sound suddenly worked, well now it has stopped again and nothing is working. I can't roll back the drivers again because they are already rolled back and installing new drivers or doing a system restore doesn't bring the sound back either. This is on a machine with Realtek 97' audio and runs Windows XP SP2. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
you might consider installing a new Sound Card to solve this one...maybe the sound integrated into the motherboard has failed now...just a thought
