Something's eating my memory

That's at least an assumption. It started around a week ago when I hooked up a wireless connection for my laptop. But I also have a desktop that's just normally hooked to the modem (not via wireless). The wireless network is password protected. What happened is it looks like I'm losing memory or virtual memory. Normally I have around 10 windows open with no problems at all. I could have like 5 programs running and it would never ever show that virtual memory is low. The thing is, it doesn't SHOW that now either. BUT when I try to open another program like Photo Impact it just makes a "dum!" sound that shows something insanely quickly about memory being low and then closes. It usually wouldn't open until I close one of the windows or programs to free some memory. Or sometimes when I click on a link it won't open until I close one of the programs. Certain functions won't work like right-clicking until I close one window or program. "Submit" buttons won't work until I repeat the same action.

So what is up with my computer? This never happened. I scanned for viruses, there's nothing. I scanned for spyware with spy sweeper and trendmicro...there's nothing. It's driving me insane. :'(

OK I'm trying to see the rest but I'm having the same problem again. I opened System Properties and when I click on any of the buttons aside from "Advanced" it just disappears from te option at all and doesn't even show it. Ughhh what the hell? HELP! :sigh:
