[SOLVED] nvgts.sys BSOD
I am not really sure where this topic should go, but I just built a computer with an EVGA 780i mobo in it and two sata HDDs in a RAID0 array. I have two sata DVD drives also. The problem is that whenever I do something that has it read the disc in one of the drives (go to my computer and click the drive, try to install something) I get a BSOD that says it was a problem with nvgts.sys. All that I found about this told me to re install windows but not install the driver for MediaShield. I would do this, but I think I need MediaShield to do RAID. Is this true, or can I still RAID without MediaShield? Has anyone else found a better solution for this? I just finished building my PC yesterday, so a full reinstall is no big deal, but I still really want my RAID0 (this PC is mostly for gaming) but I would also like to be able to use CD/DVDs. I managed to install Halo without any problem, but when I tried installing another game it went to a BSOD at the end of installation.

Re: nvgts.sys BSOD
Well, I contacted evga and they gave me their "beta drivers" which fixed it some, but I still get the error every now and then. I think I am just gonna get an IDE drive untill they figure it ALL out.

Re: nvgts.sys BSOD

Re: nvgts.sys BSOD
I've been dealing with this same problem. It seems that the powers that be are aware of the problem and haven't fixed it yet. What worked for me was avoiding Media Shield and the network manager from the nforce 9.46 package. It's really just a temporary solution, but I've been running my computer fine without those. I don't know what this will do to your RAID, though- I'm just running SATA right now.
