when i watch videos or listen to music or play games my computer lags
this only seems to hapen when i am conected to the internet
any ideas on how to fix this would be verry helpfull thanks

video card
cpu
m/board
ram
power supply
brand
wattage

check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them

its custom built pc
xp pro sp3 version 2002
processor: AMD Athlon xp 1800+ 1.54GHz
RAM: 1.50GB
Graphics Card: GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
64 MB

take the side off the case and look at the label on the psu for the details

check your fans and h/sinks are clear of dust

sounds like your video card drivers are either not installed or out of date or corrupt.

goto nvidia.com and download the latest drivers, and restart and try again.
