My computer seems to freeze right when I press a button on my keyboard.
It works fine, and for a long time, but if I press on the button on the keyboard, it looks like it freezes. When I try to log on to AIM, and it freezes, but the cursor is still blinking so it's like it hasn't fully frozen.
Well what kind of PC is it ? You might not even be able to check voltages if its an older machine.
But if its does you need to look for something called Hardware Monitor in the BIOS. Could be one of the "Tabs" on top of the screen or a submenu - maybe under advanced chipset. All depends on your machine and what BIOS it has.
It hasnt been mentioned yet - but did you run some spyware, adware checks ? Maybe you should go to the security forum and read all the stickies - and see what the suggested scanner programs will find.
