Quick Launch: Internet explorer opens twice.

When I click on the quick launch internet explorer icon it opens two browsers. If I double click the icon on the desktop it will open just one browser. I deleted the quick launch icon, took the desktop icon and put it on the quick launch again, but it still has the same problem. Any ideas?

Re: Quick Launch: Internet explorer opens twice.

I don't know why it's doing that, but..

See what happens when you right-click-drag IE on the desktop and create another shortcut. Does it still open two programs? If it doesn't, will it successfully move to the quicklaunch?

Are the other quicklaunch icons working fine?

What happens if you modify a working quicklaunch icon (if you have one) to point to IE instead? Or make one from scratch by right-clicking the desktop?

If it's only affecting IE, perhaps a reinstall would help?

Re: Quick Launch: Internet explorer opens twice.

Quick launch is a single click deal, I was doing the same thing, double clicking.. Try a single click on quick launch.
