Hi,
So, I gave a friend a computer I stopped using when I got a new one. This was about four years ago. I downgraded my username to a "user" account and made a new account with my friends name (and made it administrative). Then I subsequently deleted my account.
However, now that I know more about computers I sort of worry about my stuff still being on the computer (programs, internet history/cache, pictures, etc.).
I told him about my worries and basically he said I can mess with it if I want (just don't delete anything important on his account).
So, basically, what should I do to ensure my stuff is off his computer at this point so that a hacker couldn't get it? Or if he gave it away and didn't delete the harddrive, that I would know my stuff isn't accessable to the most advance user/program?
And what ever happened to the index.dat files for my account? I know how to delete them on an avaliable account, but seeing my account is now gone, whatever happen to those index.dat files?
Thanks for any information.
