I am pretty sure my computer is overheating. I don't know how to figure out what the temps or any of the details about my video card and I was wondering if someone could tell me how? I have windows xp, I am not sure about the video card and I'm not really sure how to find out what type/brand my video card is either. I am really a novice at this so if someone could help me that'd be great.:4-dontkno

Download speedfan it's free, and it will tell you the temps of your CPU, as well as your hard drives.

Why do you think it's overheating anyways? Have you opened the case while it's running and looked to see if the fan are spinning. I would also check the bios settings, to see if you any type of "silent fan" features. If so disable them, they are practical but they don't work well.
