I have an xp system and have been having a freezing problem with my Outlook Express email. It freezes up when I click on email. I am only moderately literate with a computer. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

what do you mean by click on email? Opening a email? Does it ever open or do you get an error?

I mean open email. Sometimes it opens, other times not. It also freezes when I try to open a link within the email.

What AV/AM are you running?

It could be a scanner hangup.

I am not sure what AV/AM is, so I do not know.

Are there mail scanner settings in your Norton (I don't use and know nothing about Norton/Symantec products).

That's where to start.

Turn scanners for mail OFF and reboot and see if they stay off and if you can then read mail properly.
