What is the file extension of these files that will only play in Winamp?

 

I'm not exactly sure. All I know is that the properties box says that they will only play in winamp. Here is a "Print Screen" image of what the properties box looks like.

Showing File extensions

• Click Start
• Click My Computer
• On the Menu Bar click Tools, then click Options.
• Click on the tab View
• Then un-tick Hide extensions for known file types.
• Click Apply.
• The Ok

Now please go to where these music files are and please post back what the extension is at the end of the file. For example it would be <Song Name>.<Extensions>. Or if you like you could post another Screen shot. I dont mind either way.

Sorry I dont think I explained it well just follow these steps first...

they are .m4a files

 

.m4a files are not compatible with WMP As far as I know.

 

Is there a free convert program that I can get to change them to .mp3?

 

I had a similar problem where MM jukebox would not open or play music. The solution was to uninstall Internet Explorer 7. When I did, the system reverted to IE6 and MM jukebox was again functional.
