Did you happen to create a restore point on that computer? If you did, it'll restore all things to that point, including all files that have been created since then. So, if you do this, proceed with caution. Alternately, there should be a folder containing the users contents. As far as e-mails go, you still should be able to log into the email and retrieve those. As far as the contacts, shouldn't that be with the email account? If not, those might be saved in the folder for that particular user. Make sure you're logged in as the administrator, and you should be able to access all the files.
Hi robert diggs thanks for replying
tried to restore with no luck found the folder with the users contents in
as for the email ( outlook ) it has gone off the computer altogether
cant log on as administrator just get 2 options (guest and 1 user ) none of these have an email account
help!!!!!!!
Sounds like XP Home
Boot into safe mode, and you will be able to log in as admin. I think you can also hit ctrl alt del twice and bring up a prompt, but I'm not sue on that one.
EDIT:
I see you are running Pro
Are you on a domain?

C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Are you using an Exchange server?
