My computer runs on Windows XP Home Service Pack 2. I have got Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger. I don't use either of them, and I am aware of the difference between the two. I have disabled the Windows Messenger but will not remove it from the computer as it is embedded in the Windows system. I would, however, like to get rid of MSN Messenger (version 6.2).

Is it safe to remove MSN Messenger? Or will the removal cause other programs to malfunction?
