Installing XP on HP Touchsmart TM2 2090ee

Dear All

I would be greatful to have someone supporting me on installing XP on HP Touchsmart TM2 2090ee.

HP website says that it support only windows 7. Although I tried to find out the Chipset and find out the SATA Driver for F6 (floppy disk) option while installing windows xp.

Please help! Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your time and suggestion but this model is having AMD chipset and mine is Intel Chipset. you may find Hardware Report attached. I have already tried following according to Intel WebSite :

1) f6flpy96x86 -- 9.6.0.1014 Version. But my installation gives me BOSD after STARTING WINDOWS message after copying the file in initial stage of WinXPSP2 Setup through CD

2) Although I also tried to install XP on my USB HDD Toshiba 500 GB which somehow passes the same point with same Installation Source, but stucks somewhere and gives the same error when windows tries to loads after 1st restart to start the Setup.

3) I just downloaded new XPSP3 installer CD from " http://www.freshwap.net/applications...oem-12in1.html ". This also passes STARTING WINDOWS but give error that I dont have any drive attached. and if I give the same SATA driver through F6 (mentioned in 1st point above) reacts same as point 2.

Any help would add more, and def will be greatful .

Okey!

I was finally able to atleast install the windows xp with the help of nLite software by slipstreaming sp3 in xpsp2 cd along with the above given driver.

But now the problem is I am unable to get any of the audio video driver, i got one for wireless but not for video audio.

Please help if anybody have any idea about this.

If the hardware manufacturer did not create a driver for the hardware you are searching for there is nothing we can do to help. It is the manufacturer you should contact for the support, our hands are tied.
