We need a lot more information. Are you installing XP from a Restore Partition, Restore CD, or from an XP CD? Has XP been on this computer before? What does the BSOD screen say? Are you doing a Clean Install or just reinstalling over an existing install? Have you Formatted the drive before hand? If you are doing a clean install using an XP CD you have to boot into Setup (Bios) and change the HDD mode from AHCI to IDE or Compatibility Mpde
Once you have XP installed, if your not using a restore partition or disc, then go to the Device Manager, any devices with yellow flags need to have drivers installed. Then go to HP drivers site to install the drivers you need in the Device Manager.
