When we install printer, usually scan icon is shown in desktop and we can scan simply by clicking that and even we can save the scanned documents in pdf format. But today I installed the printer, there is no scan icon in the desktop or in start menus but there was scan icon separate in my computer like other drives. But using that we cannot save in pdf format. We can save only in tiff format.

I would suspect the install didn't work correctly. Try again.

What is the make and model of the all in one printer? Go to the manufacturers support site and download the latest software which should include the software with the icon your looking for.
