Help: Inadvertantly deleted Microsoft Shared folder

While getting rid of Malware, with help from the Security Forum, I inadvertantly deleted the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared" folder. This was totally my fault but I need to try and restore this somehow.

Microsoft Office no longer works now as well as some of the Windows XP functions.

I am trying to locate my CDROMs for both WindowsXP Home Edition and Microsoft Office Proffesional. (This may take a while) I assume that I will need both of these to get it back working.

I also had a problem with the my CD/DVD ROM drives but I have them working again.

in the run box type
sfc /scannow
and press enter
reinstall office or if it is starting click on the help tab and repair
you will need your disks

I am back up and running again. Thanks for your help.

I was having some problems running sfc /scannow. So I had to copy the I386 folder from my installation disk to the root (C:\I386). I then rebooted and sfc /scannow took care of the rest of my Windows issues. After this I could reinstall my Office Proffesional files and so on.

Thanks again for all your help. I had to use three diffent forums to resolve all the issues that I have had. This is a wonderful site. I will be donating.
