Having "User Account" problem after System Repair

Before in my DOcuments and Settings folder I had a "All Users and a Giovanni" folder and now after running a System Repair I now have two new folders named "All Users.WINDOWS and giovanni.home"

I assume this has to do with users accounts but I have no idea what they are for or how they go there.

I am wanted to delete these and get back to just haveing the original two but I don't want to screw anything up. Now I can't add any users under "manage users"

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think you performed a *reinstall* of XP over your previous installation. This would be the reason for the duplicate account folders. You should have performed a repair install.

I think you're right. What should I do abou my "users"?

Is the only option to format and do a clean install?

Yeah, you really should format and reinstall to insure your system is really in working order (no "broken" paths in the registry or file system). Just backup your files if you still have them.
