My operating system is XP SP2; Inspiron/9400 Laptop; PC Model MP061 - I have an error message when rebooting that always comes up stating that a component of real player could not be found. It gives the ability to browse and has displayed: Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\rpbrowserrecordupdate. It also gives you a delete button it says you can hit if you cannot find the file - it lets you know that neither option will harm your hard drive. It also says it could not create actor-guid and gives this next: http://ns.real.com/gemini.v1;RPSearchActor --- When I hit the delete button it all goes away but leaves real player up with a blank screen. I shut it down and all goes well. But - what is this and why does it continue? It started doing this after the computer almost crashed one day when I was trying to burn a DVD and accidently opened real player. After shutting down and rebooting it, I did a system restore for a few days prior when everything was running well. Everything else runs okay. Should I un-install real player and re-install it ? If this will work, how do I do so?

Uninstall it and try Real Alternative:
