I have just installed winXP SP2 on my new comp that is using a A8V Deluxe motherboard. And since i as many others running SP2 have problems with the Marvell Yukon network port not beeing able to recognize the network cable when plugged (i have tried all the stuff posted here). since evry1 with problems seems to be running SP2 i just thought that i could maybe get it to work on SP1 or just WinXp Pro.

is it possible for me to downgrade to a lower SP?

PS. My first post :D

Hello and Welcome to TSF

If you are sure you have tried every possible solution and you feel you need to uninstall SP2 then that is strickly your choice.
I don't like to suggest this but you can uninstall SP2 if you installed it via Windows Updates.
Its listed in the Add/Remove Programs

I'v tried all the new drivers and bios.
I wasn't aware of this when i bought it.
I have looked at their site for help and called the stores support and ASUS support. ASUS says that it is a software issue and the store tells me to take the board in for diagnostics but there isn't anything wrong with my motherboard its just the OS or some driver that is screwed up.

Any1 know where ii can download a earlier copy WinXP Pro Setup disc (NOT SP2)?

That I know of there is no legal way to download Windows XP. You might try contacting microsoft with your problem and they may be able to help you. There are other ways of getting it (p2p networks) but they are usually wrought with viruses and whatnot so I would recommend avoiding them.

Well there are ways, which will not be discussed here. If you have no further questions this thread will be closed before it takes a turn for the worse. If you have further questions PM me and I will reopen it for you, or you can start a new thread.
