I recently move my router and modem a laptop and a desktop pc to another room, now my desktop loses internet connectivity. My laptop is connected fine to the wireless router. I have renewed and released the ip address and have tried several times to repair the connection. I have also power cycled the router and modem. I am losing connection every 5-10 minutes or so. Any ideas on whats going on?

Is the Desktop connected Wirelessly or Wired? Is there any obstruction? Walls, microwave, wireless phone etc? If wirelessly, run WiFi Inspector to test your wireless strength. Also, log into the Routers setup and change the wireless broadcast channel to Channel 11.
