any help will be appriciated... thanks in advance..
You could try repair install if the pc gives you the option/
1 - Boot with the Windows XP CD press any to boot XP disk
2 - Boot with the Windows XP CD and at the Setup Screen press Enter
3 - You will be taken to the Windows XP Licensing Agreement. After reading the agreement press F8 to proceed.
4 - The next screen gives you the option to do a fresh (clean) install or to repair the selected Windows XP installation. To run a Repair Install Press "R" at this time.
**Note** if you do not see the option to repair the selected Windows XP installation DO NOT choose the option to continue installing a fresh copy without repairing as that will overwrite your data and cause unrecoverable data loss.
5 - Windows XP will copy the necessary files to your Hard Drive to begin the installation and will then reboot. You will see the message that informs you to "Press any key to boot the CD". Do not press any keys this time just wait a few seconds and the Windows Startup Screen will be displayed. Following this you will be greeted by the Windows XP Setup Screens.
6 - When Setup has completed you should find all of your previously installed apps and settings are intact
Not sure a repair installation is going to help here as it was the f drive which was formatted and not the system drive.
It is possible to get the partition back but from personal experience this can only be done with specialist software such as Acronis Disk Director or Runtime's GetDataBack. However, if you make the partition accessible again, you can then use some freeware tools to recover some of the formatted files but this method isn't guaranteed and some recovered data may be corrupt.
Errr your right overlooked the last drive partition format, you could try diskmanagment and try to browse the F/. drive and copy any data to another partition, if no luck try system restore/ no luck and any important data on that partition try "nickster's" suggestion.
first i tried system restore but did not work out then i went with repair installation but no such luck i even tried dowloading free licence 47 softwares of data recovery from download.com but none of them worked out... yeah there was only one edata unerase that worked out to find my data but unfortunately that data is corrupted.
does anyone know any free software to find my data ? or any more ideas?

blank F: drive most likely formatted the whole F: drive if there was no data, getbackdata might work although we thought you posted you've tried the program. BTW were the partitions in dos or ntsf format?
it was ntfs partition and it was formated my by carelessness going to the my computer--- right clicking and choosing format.... and yeah i i found my data back.....
